Vigful is built to be private by design. It runs almost entirely on your phone: it detects charge zones, reads your documents, and reminds you about bills, renewals and medication without accounts, without a login, and without sending your personal data to us or anyone else. We don’t run servers that hold your information, we don’t track you, and we don’t show ads.
This policy explains, plainly, what data Vigful handles and where it stays.
Reminders, bills, subscriptions, renewals, medication details, and any vehicle information (such as a registration number, MOT or tax dates) that you enter or that Vigful reads for you are stored on your device. This includes health-related information such as medication names, doses and schedules. Vigful keeps this only to power your reminders. It is not transmitted to us.
If you turn on cloud backup/sync in Settings, your Vigful data is synchronised through your own private cloud account provided by your device’s platform — Apple’s iCloud on iPhone, or your Google account on Android. This is between your devices and that provider — we have no access to it, and the provider’s handling of your data is governed by their own privacy policy. You can turn this off at any time, and manage or delete the synced data via your phone’s account/cloud settings.
Vigful uses local notifications to remind you about a charge, a renewal, or a dose. These are scheduled and delivered on your device. We do not run a push-notification server and do not collect notification data.
To tell you where the zones are, Vigful downloads a small, read-only zone data file for your selected driving country from a static hosted file. This is a normal file download — no personal data, location, or identifier is sent with it, and it is the same file for every user.
Because your data lives on your device, you are in control. Delete any item inside the app, or delete the Vigful app, to remove its data from your phone. If you use cloud sync, remove Vigful’s synced data via your phone’s account/cloud settings.
Vigful is a general-purpose driving and reminder utility and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect any information from children (and, in fact, we don’t collect personal information from anyone on our side).
Vigful’s medication features are a reminder aid, not medical advice. Always follow your prescription and the instructions of your doctor or pharmacist, and confirm anything Vigful reads from a label.
If we change how Vigful handles data — for example, if a future optional feature (such as an official DVLA vehicle look-up) requires sending your vehicle registration to a service on your behalf — we will update this policy and describe it clearly here before that feature is enabled.
